He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Hillsdale College and an MBA from Western Michigan University.
“I’ve long admired the work of the Mackinac Center and am thrilled to be joining the state’s premier free-market policy organization,” George said.
In his new role, George will act as a resource for policymakers and advance the Mackinac Center’s legislative agenda. Additionally, he will serve as the Center’s primary policy director on health care reform – an issue area in which where he has deep expertise. George will work with the Center’s senior strategist for state affairs, David Guenthner, from the Center’s satellite office in Lansing.
“I have seen how well-respected Greg is in Lansing circles for his sharp mind and principled leadership,” said Guenthner. “Having a second set of experienced hands on Mackinac’s government affairs team will significantly increase our capacity to help our state leaders advance policies that improve the quality of life for all Michiganders.”
