On Jan. 11, 2007, David L. Littmann, senior economist for the Mackinac Center, was a guest on "The Frank Beckmann Show" on WJR 760 AM in Detroit. Littmann discussed Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s appointment of an Emergency Financial Advisory Panel and the likelihood that the commission will recommend a tax increase to offset a budget deficit.
