Steve Delie is the director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. In this role, he is in charge of researching, developing and promoting labor reforms through studies, commentary, speaking, media relations and legislative testimony. Steve also serves as a policy advisor for Workers for Opportunity and My Pay My Say.

Additionally, Steve leads the Center's government transparency efforts as the director of transparency and open government. 

Steve is a graduate of Hillsdale College with a degree in political science. While there, he was a member of Hillsdale’s George Washington Fellowship Program, a competitive fellowship awarded to students for outstanding academic achievement, leadership and interest in public service.

Following college, Steve obtained his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude in the top 10% of his class. During law school, Steve also served as an Associate Editor of the Michigan State Law Review and as a teaching assistant. As a law student, he worked for former Chief Justice Young of the Michigan Supreme Court, as well as for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. After passing the bar, Steve entered private practice, specializing in employment and labor law, municipal law, contract law, the Freedom of Information Act and business licensing.

In his free time, Steve enjoys camping, reading and video games. He also is a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan.
