Greg Harris has broad experience in the fields of education, politics and community development, including service to two Ohio governors and statewide grassroots advocacy with an extensive array of reform-focused organizations and projects. A former English teacher, Greg most recently served as State Director of StudentsFirst Ohio. He is also a principal of the New Governance Group, where his work included the “Ohio Smart Schools” initiative that identified $1.4 billion in savings for the state’s K-12 system. Prior to that, Greg worked as education policy advisor for KnowledgeWorks Foundation, served on the Governor's Workforce Policy Board, and served as Executive Director of the Cincinnati regional citizens league, Citizens for Civic Renewal. Greg also served on the Cincinnati City Council and earned his bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from Miami (OH) University.
