The late Amy Green was the eighth employee hired by the Mackinac Center. She began her time with the Center in 1994, spent 13 years contributing to the Center's projects on a freelance basis while raising her family, and served as assistant to the president from 2015 to 2022.
She held a Bachelor of Science in office systems administration from Central Michigan University and was experienced in all the behind-the-scenes tasks that make an office function. She facilitated and smoothed the Mackinac Center’s move from offices behind a local pizza parlor to its own building in 1997, and handled everything from event planning to copy editing during her tenure.
