Chris Bachelder is the former vice president for advancement for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, directing the Center’s donor relations and fundraising efforts.
Bachelder joined the Mackinac Center after a 20 year business career in management consulting and marketing of institutional investment research. He worked for over 10 years in the New York City and Detroit offices of Deloitte Consulting, where his practice included corporate strategy and shareholder value analysis. More recently he was a partner at Todd Investment Advisors, an institutional asset management firm located in Louisville, Ky. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School and a master’s degree in American History from the University of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
An ardent Michigan supporter and native, Bachelder has lived throughout the United States during his adult life. In 2000 he was elected to the City Council of Northville, Mich. He and his wife, Cheryl, have three daughters.
