Max Schulz is Editorial Director at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and editor of its monthly publication, CEI UpDate. He has served as executive editor of Gateway Books, Regnery Publishing's paperback imprint of classic works in literature, philosophy, theology, and economics. Before that he served as managing editor of Forbes MediaCritic magazine. He also worked as a speechwriter on Steve Forbes's 1996 run for the Republican presidential nomination. His writings have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines, including The Weekly Standard, Forbes, Reason, The American Spectator, Investor's Business Daily, The Journal of Commerce, Roll Call, The Christian Science Monitor, The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Human Events, The Freeman, Liberty, and elsewhere. Schulz is a 1992 graduate of Vanderbilt University.
