Alicia Urbain

Alicia Urbain is an attorney in the Michigan Office of Regulatory Reform in the Governor's Legal Division. She was formerly the Mackinac Center's Labor Policy Research Assistant and conducted research and analysis of labor and employment issues in support of the Center's Labor Policy Initiative for Director of Labor Policy Robert Hunter.

Urbain received her Juris Doctor degree Cum Laude in 2000 from Michigan State University - Detroit College of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Urbain is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Federalist Society, and the Livingston County Republican Party. Urbain is also a member of the Ave Maria School of Law Board of Visitors.

Before joining the Mackinac Center, Urbain did public policy work for both the Michigan and U. S. Senates and for a law firm based in Detroit. She also did law enforcement work for the Muskegon County, Mich. prosecutor.
