On June 16, 2021, the Mackinac Center for Public Policy submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for all e-mails and attachments between high-level officials in the Governor’s office and Michigan Department of Health Human Services and the McKinsey & Company consulting group from January 1, 2020 to present. Department representatives provided a cost estimate, and we narrowed our request on July 15, 2021. Nearly 200 days later, the department responded with the following documents.
