Today, President-Elect Donald J. Trump announced the selection of F. Vincent Vernuccio, director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, to the landing team that will be coordinating the transition at the United States Department of Labor. Vernuccio, who will serve as a volunteer member of the landing team, is a former President George W. Bush appointee in the Labor Department where he was Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management.
“The Mackinac Center is known across the nation as the go-to source for state-based ideas and policies that protect workers and taxpayers,” said Joseph G. Lehman, president of the Mackinac Center. “It’s gratifying but not surprising to anyone who’s worked with us on these issues that our director of labor policy would be brought into the transition to assist at the federal level. I congratulate Vinnie on his appointment and know his work over the next few weeks will result in increased freedom and prosperity for American workers for years to come.”
