MIDLAND — John C. Mozena, a long-time Detroit marketing and public relations professional, joined the Mackinac Center for Public Policy this week as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Mozena, who resides with his family in Grosse Pointe Woods, stepped into the role Monday, April 11. He will direct the Mackinac Center’s efforts to more effectively distribute its research and ideas, public interest litigation and investigative journalism.
“I’ve respected the work done here at the Mackinac Center for many years,” Mozena said. “I’m honored to be joining this team and doing my part to bring the benefits of free markets and sound policy solutions to the people of Michigan.”
Mozena brings more than 15 years of marketing and public relations experience to the Center. He has worked with a broad range of private, public and nonprofit entities, including clients such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, Carhartt, eBay, the American Red Cross and the Detroit Regional Convention Facility.
“We are pleased to add John to the team,” Mackinac Center Executive Vice President Michael Reitz said. “His experience will be invaluable in communicating the Center’s policy recommendations to key audiences.”
