Former Mackinac Center intern Josiah Kollmeyer is one of just 34 people — out of 112,000 who took the test — to receive a perfect score on the Law School Admissions Test in the past year, according to The Hillsdale Collegian.

Kollmeyer was a fiscal policy intern at the Center during the summers of 2011 and 2012, helping conduct our annual school privatization survey.

James Hohman, assistant director of fiscal policy and internship coordinator, isn’t surprised by Kollmeyer’s perfect LSAT score.

“There may be only a fraction of people who ace the LSAT, but Josiah is the only person to complete our summer privatization survey of school districts before August,” Hohman said. “He had the rare ability to be simultaneously tenacious and kind.”

The survey consists of contacting every single one of Michigan’s 550 school districts and asking information about a variety of categories, including which noninstructional services each district contracts out for.
