Former West Virginia Gov. Bob Wise, co-chair of the Digital Learning Council with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, discussed how digital technology and online learning can improve educational outcomes and expand opportunities. Wise is president of the Alliance for Excellent Education and author of the book “Raising the Grade: How High School Reform Can Save Our Youth and Our Nation.” He is also chairman of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Wise served as a U.S. Representative from West Virginia from 1983 to 2001.
Michael Flanagan, Michigan State Superintendent, and Dr. William Skilling, Superintendent of Oxford Community Schools, will also speak.
