Kendra L. Shrode

Assistant to the President

Kendra L. Shrode is assistant to the president of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. She has been employed with the Center since March 1992, having served as its office manager and later as its vice president for operations before assuming her current post in July 2000. In those capacities, she has supervised staff, project scheduling and financial record maintenance. She has also directed the Center's highly acclaimed annual high school debate workshop.

As assistant to the president, Shrode handles the president's scheduling, appointments and communications; serves as a member of the Center's senior management steering team; and works as a liaison between the president and the Center's board of directors and board of advisors.

Shrode graduated magna cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing. She is a member of Alpha Chi, the national college honor scholarship society. Her prior work experience includes positions in corporate managing and marketing departments.

'Ring' in the New Year
